In the beginning of July, I requested to cancel the table since it would not get here in time and wouldn't work for our purposes, and since it had not been shipped out yet, I figured it should be easy to cancel. If you value your blood pressure (and your wallet). It's shameful that Burke Decor has continuously taken advantage of people, yet still continues to be in business. It certainly doesn't take 19 days! So, I am forced to fight the charge and spend countless time on the phone trying to get my refund. It's not very hard to cancel an item and notify the banking institution used for the purchase. I did receive an email back stating that my order had been canceled and I would get a refund within 7-14 days. There was no way I would have room for the shelf. A week after I made the order I wanted to cancel it as my husband and had decided to sell our house live in our RV. The lead time for it to arrive was 15 weeks. And if you think emailing is the answer.think again. The customer service is non existent! When you call them, no one ever answers and if you leave a message they do not call you back. Do your homework and read all the reviews before you buy anything from this company. On, I informed them of this action and am not looking for every platform I can find to leave a review and hopefully save someone from making the same mistake that I and apparently many others have made. On -39 days later- I called my bank to submit a fraud claim and seek reimbursement through them. On they emailed me that they have sent my refund to the finance department, and I was to expect a refund within 7-14 business days. I've attempted three emails, one chat, one phone call (you're not taking phone calls?), one review while waiting for over a month with no resolution. On I messaged them again: Your status claims this order is fulfilled, it is NOT fulfilled, I DO NOT HAVE MY ORDER. On, still no area rug, messaged them again asking where my order was then I left a one-star review on their business outlining this issue and they responded with apologies and a promise of delivery by the end of the week. On, they gave me a vague canned response why an order might become delayed. I followed up on after my order being in transit for 10 days, asking where my order was. They sent a response that my order shipped and was expected. I heard nothing from them until I followed up on (13 days later) asking where my order was. The more people that call their credit card companies the faster we can at least get their merchant account shut down so they can't keep scamming people.ĭO NOT ORDER FROM BURKE DÉCOR. If they think they will get away with this with me, they are mistaken! They messed with the wrong person. I have already reported them to the credit card brands as a scam company. It might take a month or more, but there is a way to get your money back. I am in the payment industry and you as a customer have the right to dispute a charge due to lack of receipt, and also you can dispute the charge for delay in delivery. They clearly are not going to issue a refund, and if you read reviews they just keep delaying so I initiated a dispute with AMEX. The items I order said in stock and the shipping dates were 5 - 10 days. Of course, they sent that to me before I requested a refund. They are giving me some BS about they have to check to see if it has already shipped yet their email to me said when I checked on shipping that it would not ship for at least 7 more days. I tried canceling my order and requesting a refund. If I could give this company 0 stars I would.
